Learners at Lewisham College are celebrating their GCSE results day, with many being awarded top marks. Receiving these impressive results in their subjects has created opportunities for them to progress onto higher level education, with vocational, technical, or academic study now potential options for their future. It has also been a good year for Lewisham College as learners receive outstanding grades in their BTEC and vocational courses.

Gerard Garvey, Principal at Lewisham College, said: “The achievements of our GCSE learners today bring the College a great sense of pride. Their discipline, focus, and determination are an inspiration to all of us here at Lewisham College.

“Their results are a testament to all the hard work put in by both the learners and the teaching and learner support staff. I’m thrilled to see that so many of our learners have received the grades they need to take their next steps. We are looking forward to welcoming many of them back in September, as we will continue to support them in their journey towards higher education, apprenticeships and employment.”

Lewisham College offers full-time and part-time courses for 16-18s and adults in a range of subjects including BTECs, Apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education Diplomas, CIPD courses and short courses, as well as English, Maths, ESOL and supported learning courses to enable learners to gain the qualifications, professional skills and confidence they need to achieve their career ambitions.

The College is now open for enrolment for courses starting in September 2022. Our courses are designed in partnership with leading London employers and every student has the Lewisham College guarantee, offering them the opportunity to benefit from visits and lectures from external businesses, hands-on experience on work placements, innovative online learning resources to ensure learning can be delivered remotely when required, a friendly and supportive community, well-equipped facilities, on-site eateries and Learning Resource Centre, and excellent Student Support services.

Coronavirus update

Lewisham College is closely monitoring all communications and guidance as it becomes available. We are prepared to escalate our contingency arrangements in the event of change.
