Lewisham College recently welcomed the team from Repair Care, a leading manufacturer of high-performance wood repair products, to deliver an inspiring and practical Masterclass to learners from the Painting and Decorating courses.
The session offered learners an invaluable opportunity to deepen their industry knowledge through a live presentation from Repair Care representatives. The team introduced students to their innovative range of products, focusing on sustainable wood repair techniques that are widely used across the construction and property maintenance sectors.
Alongside the presentation, students were able to watch live product demonstrations, gaining first-hand insights into best practices and application methods. The session concluded with a practical, hands-on component, where learners had the chance to try the products for themselves under expert guidance.
Adding further value to the session, two experienced carpenters from the Bell Group — one of the UK’s largest property services contractors — were also in attendance. They shared their own experiences using Repair Care products on professional projects, providing learners with real-world context and advice on working in the industry.
This collaboration reflects Lewisham College’s commitment to providing high-quality, employer-informed learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers in the trades.
