Lewisham College recently hosted its Annual Maths Competition, an event that celebrates talent, determination, and the power of mathematical thinking. This year, 285 students entered the competition, demonstrating the wide-reaching enthusiasm for maths across the college.
The competition tested a variety of skills, with questions covering Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. Students from courses including Elective Home Education, Business, Digital and Creative, ESOL Young, and ESOL Adult were shortlisted as finalists, reflecting the breadth of talent across the College.
The event itself was a celebration of learning, with staff and students attending to cheer on participants and enjoy seeing the competition unfold in real time. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to come together, share their knowledge, and be inspired by one another’s achievements.
