Lewisham College is proud to continue its partnership with luxury catering and event design company Bubble Food, supporting learners to gain valuable industry experience and progress into careers within the hospitality and catering sector.

The ongoing collaboration provides learners with meaningful, hands-on insight into professional kitchens and live event environments, helping them develop the technical skills, confidence and professionalism required in industry settings.

Through demonstrations and industry engagement delivered at the College, learners are introduced to the creative and practical aspects of food design and event catering. These sessions help raise awareness of career opportunities and inspire learners to explore progression within the hospitality sector.

Learners who show strong engagement and commitment are supported by tutors to access guided work experience opportunities, where they can apply their skills in real working environments and build their confidence over time. Several learners have already benefitted from this partnership, with some progressing into employment opportunities within the sector.

Bubble Food also contributes to Lewisham College’s Employer Advisory Board, supporting the ongoing development of the curriculum to ensure it reflects current industry needs and expectations. This close collaboration helps maintain a strong link between classroom learning and professional practice.

By working in partnership with employers, Lewisham College continues to ensure learners gain industry-relevant skills and experiences that support successful progression into employment.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting local talent and creating accessible pathways into the hospitality industry. Through high-quality industry engagement, placements and career-focused learning opportunities, learners are supported to build confidence, develop employability skills and take positive next steps towards their future careers.
