Lewisham College is proud to offer the Youth Entry to Further Education (YEFE) programme—an inclusive, full-time course designed to support young native English speakers in building the skills and confidence they need to succeed in education and beyond.

The YEFE programme provides a strong foundation in Maths, English, ICT, personal and social development, employability skills, and vocational tasters, giving learners a well-rounded experience that prepares them for progression into further vocational study. For bilingual learners, the programme also includes access to language GCSEs, depending on availability.

What sets YEFE apart is its focus on real-world readiness. Through tutorials, enrichment trips, and collaborative projects, students gain practical experience and personal growth, all within a supportive college environment.

YEFE is designed to help young people take that crucial first step into further education. It is about building confidence, developing core skills, and opening doors to future opportunities.

With excellent progression routes into vocational courses across areas like Health and Social Care, Construction, Business, and Creative Arts, YEFE is a launchpad for learners who are ready to take charge of their future and unlock their potential.
