Lewisham College is celebrating the excellent achievement of students who undertook GCSE studies during the past academic year and the hard work of teachers who supported students through a particularly challenging year.

GCSE results at Lewisham College have seen a high increase in performance with a number of students achieving strongly. Across the College, 42% of English GCSE students and 41% Maths GCSE students achieved at grade 4 or above.

Asfa Sohail, Principal at Lewisham College, said: “I’m delighted with today’s results, this is a significant increase on last year and is a testament to our students’ hard work and commitment, especially during these difficult times.

These results represent a solid base upon which to secure further improvement next year and to allow our young people to go on to their chosen courses. Congratulations to all our students completing their GCSEs. We look forward to welcoming you back in September.”
