Lewisham College recently welcomed class representatives from across its young and adult learner community to its annual Student Summit, an important event that gives students the opportunity to share their views and help shape the future of the College.
The summit brought together representatives from a wide range of curriculum areas, providing a platform to discuss their experiences, share ideas and speak directly with Principal Jamie Stevenson. The session encouraged open and honest conversations about college life, celebrating what is working well while identifying opportunities for further improvement.
Throughout the event, students shared feedback on teaching and learning, support services, enrichment opportunities, facilities and wellbeing. A dedicated Q&A session with the principal gave learners the chance to ask questions, raise suggestions and discuss the issues that matter most to them, reinforcing the College's commitment to listening to and acting on student feedback.
The feedback gathered during the summit will now be reviewed by the senior leadership team and used to help inform future planning and improvements across the College. By working in partnership with students, Lewisham College continues to create an inclusive, supportive and learner-centred environment where every voice matters.
