Lewisham College recently hosted Loudspeaker for two days of workshops designed to help learners explore their next steps after college with confidence. Hundreds of learners took part, discovering the wide range of options available, from university and apprenticeships to full-time work and gap years.

The Yellow Brick Road Workshop cut through the confusion many young people face when thinking about their future. Loudspeaker provided practical advice and clear guidance to help learners make informed choices about their next steps.

What really made the workshops stand out was the fun and interactive approach. From games and prizes to light-hearted activities - including the now-famous giant inflatable unicorn - learners enjoyed a relaxed environment where they could talk about their ambitions, ask questions, and explore their options without feeling pressured.

The workshops also link directly to the NCG Guarantee, sponsored by City & Guilds, which supports learners in building confidence, independence, and employability skills. By combining useful information with activities that really connect with students, Lewisham College is helping every learner unlock their potential.

The workshops had a real impact on both staff and learners. Students praised them for being fun, interactive, and full of practical advice, while staff highlighted how the sessions sparked thoughtful conversations about future pathways and next steps.

Lewisham College remains committed to working with organisations like Loudspeaker to ensure every learner is well-prepared to succeed in whatever path they choose next.
