Lewisham College is proud to announce the reopening of Brockley Restaurant, our newly redeveloped on-campus dining space, now open for lunch bookings.
The relaunch marks an exciting new chapter for our Hospitality and Catering learners, who are delivering a full front-of-house and kitchen service to members of the public. From preparing and plating dishes to delivering a warm welcome and professional service, learners are putting their training into practice in a real-world setting that mirrors the standards of the hospitality industry. This hands-on experience plays a vital role in preparing learners for careers in the hospitality sector.
Brockley Restaurant is proud to be the only London training restaurant to have been awarded the AA College Rosette and to have previously achieved the highest possible Food Hygiene Rating. The restaurant’s refurbishment has created a modern, professional environment where learners can build confidence, refine their skills, and gain valuable experience that will support their progression into employment or further training.
Principal Jamie Stevenson said: “Brockley Restaurant is more than just a place to enjoy a great meal; it’s a space where our learners grow into professionals. This redevelopment has given our learners the opportunity to work in a high-quality, industry-standard environment, and we’re incredibly proud of the talent, creativity and professionalism they bring to every service. We look forward to welcoming our local community to experience it for themselves.”
Brockley Restaurant is now taking lunch bookings. Since reopening, members of the local community have already visited the restaurant to celebrate team milestones, enjoying seasonal menus prepared and served by our learners.
