My name is Lukas. I came to Lewisham College on a work-related learning course. It was really helpful to have prior experience of what to expect on a course.

I am now studying Catering which I am thoroughly enjoying as I am gaining an insight into all aspects of Hospitality.

I hope to further my education at LSC before I go on to work in the industry.

Staff at Lewisham College are incredibly caring and supportive. They show that they want you to succeed and help you along the way.

Tutor Comments:

Lukas’s has excellent knowledge on the core subjects that he has developed during this term. This includes food safety, vegetables, dough products, and understanding menus. This has enabled Lukas to meet his targets to date. He is a valuable member of the team and this was endorsed by his peers voting him in as “Course Representative” he is now wearing the orange lanyard with pride

Lukas demonstrates excellent practical skills and he doesn’t mind being stretched and challenged. He is now very competent in demonstrating the traditional cuts and knife skills as expected by the industry.

Lukas has exemplary behaviour and nothing is too much trouble for him in supporting his team. When organising the kitchens as the nominated supervisor he demonstrates professional organisational skills and proactive time management to ensure that the tasks that he performs are completed to the required standard.
