Learners and staff at Lewisham College came together to celebrate this year’s annual Summer Fair, which brought the campus to life with a buzzing mix of activities and entertainment.
Making the most of the sunny weather, the fair transformed the College’s courtyard into a vibrant hub of food, music and community. Attendees enjoyed delicious food and drink stalls, explored information stands hosted by local partners, and connected with friends and colleagues in the summer sunshine.
Talented learners took to the stage to deliver an impressive line-up of musical performances, showcasing a diverse range of instruments and genres that kept the audience captivated throughout the afternoon.
The highlight of the event, however, was undoubtedly the visit of the real FA Cup trophy, creating an unforgettable moment for all the College’s students. Organised in partnership with Crystal Palace Football Club, the visit marked the trophy’s first community appearance since the club lifted it in May.
Jamie Stevenson, Principal at Lewisham College, said: “It was an honour to host the famous FA Cup here at Lewisham College. A huge thank you to Crystal Palace for giving our students and staff a rare, up-close look at one of football’s most iconic trophies. Being able to create amazing moments like this at the College helps to make our learners’ experience unique, bringing inspiration and a sense of possibility.”
