Lewisham College recently held its annual Student Awards Ceremony, bringing together learners, families, staff and special guests to celebrate the outstanding achievements of learners from across the College. The event recognised individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, resilience, progress and success throughout the academic year.
Hosted by broadcaster and presenter Kamali Melbourne, the evening was filled with inspiration, celebration and pride as award winners were recognised for their hard work and dedication. Kamali shared words of encouragement with learners, highlighting the importance of perseverance, ambition and self-belief as they prepare for their next steps.
Guests also heard from Lewisham College alumnus Moseray Alie Bangura, who delivered an inspiring address reflecting on his own educational journey and career experiences. Speaking to current learners, he encouraged them to embrace opportunities, remain focused on their goals and have confidence in their ability to succeed.
The ceremony celebrated learners from a wide range of curriculum areas, with awards presented to individuals who have excelled academically, overcome personal challenges, demonstrated outstanding employability skills and made a positive contribution to the College community. These achievements reflect the determination, talent and potential that can be found across Lewisham College.
The event also provided an opportunity to recognise the support of staff, families and friends who have helped learners throughout their studies and played an important role in their achievements.
