Lewisham College is proud to announce that it has been officially recognised as a Learner Happiness College following its partnership with Learner Happiness and the completion of a comprehensive wellbeing survey with students.

As part of NCG, Lewisham College took part in a group-wide initiative designed to better understand the student experience. The survey gathered valuable feedback on what matters most to students, from feeling safe and supported to having a voice in shaping their college experience.

The insights gained will play an important role in shaping the College’s priorities, helping to ensure that Lewisham College continues to provide a positive, inclusive environment where students can thrive and achieve their goals.

Lisa Hoseason, Deputy Principal of NCG, said:

“At NCG, we believe that when learners feel happy, safe and supported, they are far more likely to thrive both academically and personally. Achieving Learner Happiness status across our colleges is a significant step forward in ensuring that every learner’s voice is heard and acted upon. The insights we’ve gained are already helping us shape more inclusive, responsive environments where learners can truly succeed, and we are committed to building on this momentum in the years ahead.

“We are incredibly proud to see our colleges recognised with Learner Happiness status. At the heart of this work is a simple principle: when learners feel valued, heard and supported, they are better able to achieve their goals.”

Lewisham College will now build on this work by continuing to gather student feedback, take action on learner insights and embed wellbeing throughout all aspects of college life. The recognition reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to ensuring students feel heard, supported and empowered to succeed throughout their education.

This achievement also reflects NCG’s wider commitment to placing learner happiness alongside academic achievement, helping students develop the confidence, skills and support they need to succeed both in education and beyond.
