This course is designed for adults aged 19 and over who have additional learning needs and want to build confidence, develop practical skills and increase their independence.

The course is suitable for adults who would benefit from a supportive learning environment focused on personal development, communication and everyday work-related skills.

Delivered part-time over one academic year from September to June within the Supported Learning department, learners attend college two days each week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.45am to 2.45pm, with a break for lunch.

The timetable is designed to support adult learners who may be balancing study with other personal or family commitments, making it easier to combine learning with everyday responsibilities.

Throughout the course, learners take part in a range of practical and creative activities including cooking enterprise projects, art and design, self-advocacy and work-related learning.

All areas of study are delivered at an appropriate pace and focus on building confidence, independence and practical skills that can be used in everyday life, community settings and future opportunities.
