    Entry Requirements

    GCSE level 4 (Grade C) in both maths AND English is required. Students need to demonstrate they have the commitment attitude and desire to study to become qualified electricians. Candidates do NOT need to have completed the Level 1 Electrical Installation before beginning Level 2 if they meet the entry requirements for level 2.

    Assessment Method

    Multiple choice testing portfolio work and practical assignments.

    Aims of the course

    The Level 2 qualification is designed for Learners that want to gain a better understanding of the industry providing them with the skills and experience they need. This Level 2 Diploma will suit you if you want to learn the Electrotechnical principles and practices to help start your career in the electrical sector.

    Progression Opportunities

    This study programme can lead to a several different paths for further education in electrical industries and potential job opportunities include self-employment joining construction companies and working with local authority maintenance teams. The majority of successful candidates progress on to a level 3 Electrical Installation course.

    Facilities

    The course is 50% Theory classroom based and 50% practical workshop bases. Plus minimum of 1 weeks work experience.

    On successful completion this qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to further progress your learning within the electrical industry such as the level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or an Electrotechnical Apprenticeship What can I earn as a construction worker?
