    Entry Requirements

    GCSEs A*-C / or Grade 9-4 (in 2017 GCSEs)One of the above must be in English Language or maths.Relevant Level 2 qualification with Merit or above or relevant industry experience to Level 3 or above may also be accepted.If you are accepted onto this course without a Grade 4 (that's the old Grade C) or above in Maths and/or English you will be given the opportunity to develop your skills in these subjects. This will be a compulsory part of your timetable.

    Assessment Method

    You will be assessed via both internally set projects and external examinations and you will be awarded a PASS MERIT or DISTICTION based on the results of these assessments. You will also be assessed in a variety of ways - presentations role plays and time-limited exercises case study analysis and team work.

    Aims of the course

    This qualification is designed to support learners who want a strong core study of business with a focus on varied learning experience and will be a combination of a student-centred to enable progression to roles in the business industry apprenticeship or progression to higher education.

    Progression Opportunities

    Upon successful completion of the second year of this course you will be able to progress to a specialised university degree course or to a business apprenticeship or job. Examples of possible degree paths are:- BA (Hons) in Business Management - BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing- BA (Hons) in Business Administration

    Career Options

    Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to progress to a university degree level business course. If you do not wish to go to higher education you will be able to pursue a business apprenticeship or job.Progression is to Higher Education to study Business or an aspect such as Event Management Human Resources Marketing & Sales Insurance Banking Accounting or Advertising at Degree Level. In addition we will prepare you for starting your own business or perhaps a career in e-business or you will be able to pursue a business apprenticeship or job.

Coronavirus update
