Lewisham College is excited to introduce the CELTA qualification, accredited by The University of Cambridge, starting this January. This internationally recognised certificate is designed to give students the essential knowledge and skills to be able to teach English as a foreign language, paving the way to exciting global opportunities such as living, working and traveling abroad.
Asfa Sohail, Principal of Lewisham College, commented: “At Lewisham College, we are always striving to provide courses that will help our students achieve their full potential and enjoy successful careers. I’m delighted to announce this new provision and encourage students looking to launch a global career in the incredibly rewarding Education sector, to join our CELTA course.”
This evening course will run for 20 weeks during which students will gain an understanding of effective teaching methods, how adults learn and the role of the teacher and learner. The course will also equip students with practical teaching skills, high confidence levels and professional knowledge of the sector.
Students will benefit from classes and seminars delivered by experienced teachers at the Lewisham Way campus and online, whilst receiving regular detailed feedback from tutors.
