This one year sports pathway with high standards and great opportunities is designed to provide you with a good base knowledge covering a wide range of topics in sport. This course is perfect for you if you have a genuine interest in a number of different sports and are considering a career in sport but currently undecided in exactly what you want to do.This pathway acts as an excellent platform to progress onto a number of different specialisms as you will: complete a Level 2 Diploma in Sports complete an additional coaching qualifications in the Level 2 Principles of Coaching (where you will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to become an effective sports coach.)Participate in Industry specific work placements to gain industry experience to prepare you for employment (with a possible opportunity of paid employment). Completion of these elements will provide you with an excellent foundation to continue you're learning and development to pursue the sports career of your dreams.     Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (in 2017 GCSEs) - Relevant Level 2 qualification with Merit or above - Relevant industry experience to Level 2 or above.

    Assessment Method

    During the duration of this pathway we will use a variety of assessment methods which include: - Completion of written assignments (Word Reports Posters Leaflets Presentations etc) - Short answer question tests - Observation and assessment.

    What can I earn in the sports industry?When you're deciding what to study post-16 it's important to think about where your course will lead.
