This course is for students who want to pursue a career in computer networking and in an IT hardware systems and support role. It is for those who have successfully completed the L2 Systems Support course or have the required L2 industry skills / experience to progress into networking.

Entry Requirements
- 4 GCSEs D-F / or 3-2 (in 2017 GCSEs)
- Relevant Level 2 qualification with Merit or above
- Relevant industry experience to Level 2 or above

In class supervised assignments and an online exam.
Aims of the course
This qualification provides you with Level 3 information technology system support skills that could lead to further education in the field or related areas.
You will also achieve the 'Cisco IT Essentials industry standard qualification', which can offer those moving into their first job roles the confidence to work effectively with information and communications technologies, and deal with tasks that are straightforward or routine.

CompTIA A+, Network+, CISCO CCNA, Access to Computing or an apprenticeship.

Facilities
In class delivery of practical and theory with work related scenarios and actual work-based assignments. Part of the time is will spent in Practical hardware labs.
