ESOL, English & Maths

The course is taught by a published author and professional writer who has a keen interest in developing students potential.

During the course you will develop vocabulary, sentence structure and techniques to generate ideas and translate them into writing, following various themes and exploring ideas.

The course will cover aspects of creative writing such as genre, structure, character, setting, point of view, planning, editing and selling your work.

    Aims of the course

    To develop skills in writing skills in order to progress onto a qualification such as GCSE English or as part of personal or professional development for work or study.

    The college offers numerous courses that you could progress onto such as GCSE English or Vocational qualifications, depending on your interests and aspirations.


    Delivery will mostly be classroom based but there may be visiting speakers and trips.
