Aims of the course
To prepare students for the Pearson GCSE mathematics exam.
GCSE mathematics is an essential qualification for most higher education courses as well as most careers across all sectors.
This course is classroom based, with one 3 hour lesson per week. In addition, students should expect to spend at least an hour a week on private study/homework. All students have access to and are expected to complete an on-line diagnostic assessment tool, which produces an individual learning plan showing students the key areas they need to work on. This leads into a skills development plan that students can work through independently to support their progress.
A GCSE mathematics qualification is essential for most higher education courses as well as most careers across all sectors.
