ESOL, English & Maths

If you are unsure what vocational course you would like to study or feel that you need to improve you English and maths skills before going onto a vocational course or employment, then this course is for you. You will complete qualifications in English, maths, Personal and Social Development and Employability Skills. In addition you will be introduced to a number of vocational areas and undertake work experience.

    Aims of the course

    To support students in helping them to identify their next step, either doing a vocational course or going into employment.

    Progression Opportunities

    Students will be able to progress onto vocational courses or to employment.

    Facilities

    Students learn in the classroom for most of the time and sessions include group work, pair work and individual study. Students will be able to access college facilities such as the Learning Centre and ICT equipment. Courses will include work placements, educational visits outside of college and other enrichment activities.
