Aims of the course
All courses aim to prepare students to progress in their chosen field by improving their language skills. This could be for further study, improving career prospects or seeking work.
Depending on the qualifications achieved during the year, you can progress to higher levels of English and mathematics, into vocational and academic courses, work, or an apprenticeship.
Students learn in the classroom for most of the time and sessions include group work, pair work and individual study. Students will be able to access college facilities such as the Learning Centre and ICT equipment. Most courses include trips outside college to galleries and museums as part of the curriculum and other enrichment and equality and diversity activities.
Students may progress to further study in the college onto higher level English classes or into vocational areas or into work.
