Early Years

This course is designed to help you understand the skills and knowledge needed to work in the health and childcare sector, and develop the practical skills you'll need in the workplace or for further study.

You will study a range of units including Managing your health at work; Health and social care needs; Communication with adults and children; and Learning experience for children and young people.

    Aims of the course

    To develop practical skills in preparation for employment or to progress on to further study.

    Progression Opportunities

    You may choose to progress on to further study on a Level 2 programme in health and social care, child care or early years, or to enter employment in the childcare sector.
