Early Years

NCFE Level 3 diploma for the children's work force (early year's educator) is a competence based qualification. This qualification is based on national standards and is a job ready qualification which requires learners to demonstrate their skills and knowledge required to work in the childcare industry. The competence based qualification must be assessed in the workplace in accordance with the early year's educator qualification and assessment principles. Learners will be expected to complete 350 hours work placement.

    Entry Requirements

    16 and over. Must have at least 5 GCSE including English and maths at grade A ? C or grade 4 A Level 2 childcare qualification Students with non-standard qualification will be directed to see the childcare team. Student are also required to have a full advanced DBS and a childcare placement.

    Internally assessed and externally assessed portfolio.

    This qualification is a job ready qualification which requires learners to demonstrate their skills and knowledge required to work in the childcare industry. Suitable for those working in nurseries, nursery schools, primary school reception classes and those registered as childminders and nannies.
