Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grades A*-C; one of which must be GCSE English or GCSE Mathematics AND successful completion City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installation at Level 2

    Written assessments, online multiple choice exams, written exams and practical tests relating to Fault diagnosis and Testing on simulated installations.

    Aims of the course

    All our courses are designed to cover the full range of topics and tasks as laid down by the awarding body in response to industry requirements. You will learn advanced specialized areas of electrical installation that will enable you to confidently inspect and test electrical circuits.


    The course will be based around practical workshop sessions in electrical testing and Fault Diagnosis for the main elements of the study. Students will also study technology and science topics in greater depth than Level 2 and extend their mathematical analysis skills. All students will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence consisting of multiple assignments in order to achieve this qualification.

    Career Options

    On successful completion this qualification you will have been provide with the practical skills and knowledge to further you career within the electrical industry, and become self-employed as an electrician or work for an electrical company.
