IHG Hotels & Resorts is one of the world's leading hotel companies. Two of their luxury hotels in London The InterContinental Park Lane and the Kimpton Fitzroy Bloomsbury are looking for new colleagues to join them in the roles of front office team member room attendant kitchen porter and waiter. Lewisham College is providing a 22-day course with a guaranteed interview with IHG Hotels & Resort upon successful completion. The course will consist of developing your employability skills training in customer service Health and Safety and food hygiene in the workplace. You will also have three days' work experience to get an insight to opportunities in hospitality. This is a SWAP with IHG Hotels & Resorts to progress into job vacancies of front office team member room attendant kitchen porter waiter and other roles in the Hospitality Industry. Learners will gain interview experience and the following regulated qualifications below: - Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills - Level 1 Award in Customer Service - Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace - Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

    Entry Requirements

    Learners will need to be aged 19 or above unemployed and in receipt of eligible benefit.

    You will be assessed via a portfolio and exams.

    This course aims to help learners progress into the hospitality industry and connect them to real job opportunities into sustainable work.

    Progression Opportunities

    This is a Sector-based Work Academy run in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts supporting unemployed people to progress into job vacancies such as front office team member room attendant kitchen porter waiter and other roles in the Hospitality Industry.

    Facilities

    Learning will take place in the classroom with three days' work experience with the employer.
