Is this course for me?

This course is for health and safety union representatives who have completed Stage 1 and preferably Stage 2 TUC/union courses or equivalent union courses.

What will I study?

This course includes the study of organisational and communication skills for union health and safety reps in a health, safety and environment context. You will be required to prepare assignments and a health and safety project.

What can I do next?

This can lead to Occupational Health and Safety NVQ Level 4 at the College. It can also lead to employment in work promotion and health and safety positions.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have completed the Unionlearn Health and Safety Stage
1 and 2 courses or trade union equivalent courses.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by the tutor on completion of a portfolio of evidence, three assignments and one project. Students meet regularly with tutors to help plan studies and discuss progress.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
