Is this course for me?
This course is for those who are good at football and want
to work as a player or coach. Subjects studied include: health,
safety and injury, the body in sport, fitness in sport and sport
psychology.
What will I study?
You will have six hours of football coaching a week with matches
on Wednesdays. There are three teams entered into different leagues
with the first team playing in the Football Conference Youth
Leagues. The first team has a partnership with Charlton Athletic
and will train at the same venue. We have good links with Fulham
and Charlton for scouting for players. The best players will
represent the College domestically and internationally.
What can I do next?
This can lead to progression within the Football
Academy or onto further education.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to come to the College for a trial and
assessment if successful, you will be asked to attend pre-season
training.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
