Is this course for me?

This course involves planning, reviewing and adapting programmes to suit different people. You will learn how to motivate, educate and direct the customer. There is also a focus on managing and evaluating your own performance. You will prepare exercise programmes and deliver them to a range of clients, taking into account dietary requirements. You will also learn in depth training principles and anatomy to a Level 3 standard.

What can I do next?

This course can lead to employment opportunities as a personal trainer or progression onto higher education.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to attend an interview and complete an aptitude test. Ideally, you will have already achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Instructing Exercise and Fitness, the YMCA Gym Instructor Award or A level Sports Science.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
