Is this course for me?
This course involves demonstrating competences as a Fitness
Instructor by planning, reviewing and adapting fitness programmes
suitable to the needs of the client. You will be working with both
able bodied people and people with disabilities, showing how you
can motivate and evaluate the differences of performance.
What can I do next?
This course can lead onto employment or higher levels of
the qualification such as: Level 3 VRQ Diploma in personal
training, also by completing this you can join REPS.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to attend an interview so we can get to know
you, and there will be a taster day where you will go in the gym
and be assessed on how much knowledge you have prior to the course.
With a view to a career as a fitness instructor, you will most
likely want to join the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)
for which you need to have completed a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in
Instructing Exercise and Fitness.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
