What will I study?
This course covers a range of subjects and skill development
that includes voice training (group and individual), stagecraft and
improvisation, studio skills (perform on your own demo), music
business (contracts and self promotion), performance (at gigs and
showcases throughout the year) and keyboard skills (chords, scales
and theory tailored for singers).

This can lead a place on our National Award Music Practice
course.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to attend an interview and audition and perform
two songs in contrasting styles as well as sit a short written
assessment. You should also have three or more GCSEs and a
reference in support of your application.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is in various ways, including assignments, class
work, group work, oral presentations, projects and performances.
You will also have regular meetings with your personal tutor to
discuss your progress and to help plan your studies. Additional
support, help and guidance is also available from the Guidance Team
or from our Study Buddies.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
