This course covers theatre, musical theatre and dance, administration and performance history. You will work in front of a camera and take work out on tour. You will take part in a major performance project and have the opportunity to tour a show to local schools. Throughout the course you will develop a disciplined approach to performance work and also study key skills in communication and IT.

What can I do next?

This can lead to a course at university or drama school. Former students are currently studying at the Central School of Speech and Drama, ALRA, Goldsmiths College of London University and Rose Bruford. This can also lead to employment in arts administration, teaching in the post-16 sector, theatre making or TIE (Theatre-In-Education) performance.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have completed the Performing Arts BTEC First Diploma or have equivalent experience or qualifications. You will also be asked to take part in a workshop/audition process. A GCSE in English (A-C) is an advantage, although there is some flexibility over entrance requirements.
