What will I study?

This course gives you the opportunity to explore a wide range of ideas, skills and art and design processes. This thorough grounding later leads to areas of specialism. The course is divided into three parts: the exploratory stage is delivered by practical workshops, the pathway stage explores techniques in more depth and the confirmatory stage examines a major project.

What can I do next?

This can lead to Foundation Degrees, BA courses or employment in design studios, design work, fine art practice or photographic practice.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need either five GCSEs, one A level and three GCSEs, a BTEC National Award or a Certificate. However, entry requirements may be flexible if you can demonstrate experience and interest in art and design. You should also enjoy problem solving, have a desire to learn and will be asked to present a portfolio of creative work at the interview.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
