Is this course for me?
This course is for those who want to work in or study further in
art and design.
What will I study?
This course teaches design skills. You will develop technical
abilities in art and design and learn about the entire creative
process, from initial brief to end product. The course also
explores development skills and creative challenges through
research and drawing.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need three GCSEs or a Level 1 BTEC Diploma in Art,
Design or Media at merit or above, to attend an interview and
present a portfolio of art and design work.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment includes assignments, class work, group work, oral
presentations, projects and formal examinations. Students also have
regular meetings with a personal tutor to discuss progress and to
help plan studies. Additional support, help and guidance is also
available from the Guidance Team and our Study Buddies.
What can I do next?
This can lead to further studies in Art and Design, other
creative courses or employment opportunities in a whole world of
visual and creative careers.

What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
