What will I study?

You will study the personal qualities and skills required to work in Childcare, or Health and Social Care.  This will include supporting your personal and social development, Health and Social Care, Caring for children and Skills needed for work.  You will also develop your basic skills in English, and Maths and Information Technology.  ESOL support is available if required.

What can I do next?

This can lead to studying the Foundation Learning in Early Years, Health and Social Care Level 1.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have an assessment test, interview and provide two references.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply. You will also need to purchase a text book.

Please note: For courses of more than one year, the fees stated apply to the first year only. These costs are for the academic year 2011-2012. Costs for 2010-2011 will be available in spring 2010.
