Is this course for me?

This course is for people with good IT skills who wish to study the background and theory behind IT, as well as improve their practical IT skills. You will also develop your skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and numeracy.

What will I study?

You will develop skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking English, numeracy and IT, gain skills in using Microsoft Office, the internet and email alongside computing theory and fundamentals.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have achieved Entry Level 3 in reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as in IT and Numeracy. You will also be invited for a short interview and assessment.

How will I be assessed?

On the course you can take a range of ESOL, IT and Numeracy exams depending on your level.

What can I do next?

This can lead to study on higher level vocational courses.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
