Is this course for me?
This course is for people who are interested in becoming a
Classroom Assistant in the future.
What will I study?
You will study the role of the Classroom Assistant, child
development and health and safety at school. You will also have the
opportunity to create games for children and classroom
displays.
On the course you will improve your general English in a
programme that includes grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing,
speaking and listening.
You will also study numeracy and IT.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to to have achieved Entry Level 3 in reading,
writing, speaking and listening. You will also be invited for a
short interview and assessment.
How will I be assessed?
On the course you can take a range of ESOL, IT and Numeracy
exams depending on your level.
What can I do next?
This can lead to to NVQ2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in
Schools or similar courses.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
