Is this course for me?

These courses suit those interested in developing their English speaking & listening, reading and writing skills for work, further study and to support their families. Most daytime courses include employability skills, numeracy and ICT development as well as English language and literacy.

What will I study?

These courses will cover English, literacy, citizenship, ICT, employability skills and numeracy. You will study: English grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing and spelling, maths and ICT as well. You will have a personal development plan and review it regularly with your tutor.

What can I do next?

You can progress to higher levels of ESOL, literacy, numeracy or ICT or seek work in a variety of areas.

What are the entry requirements?

You will have a short interview and literacy/numeracy assessment before being accepted.

How will I be assessed?

Depending on the level and exact course selected.  Exam, portfolio, assignment and continuous assessment

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
