Is this course for me?
This course suits those interested in a career in
book-keeping and accounting.
What will I study?
This course will cover the English, literacy, numeracy and
accounting skills necessary to succeed in the AAT certificate at
level 2 and to work in finance/accountancy.
You will study: English grammar, speaking, listening, reading
and writing, maths, double entry bookkeeping, basic costing
principles, and purchase, sales and general ledgers.
What can I do next?
You can progress to AAT at level 3 and seek work in
business/accountancy/finance
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to have successfully completed ESOL or Literacy,
plus numeracy at level 1. In addition, you will have a short
interview and literacy/numeracy assessment before being
accepted.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by examination.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
