Is this course for me?
This course suits those interested in engineering related
employment and/or those who wish to study at a higher level after
completing this course.
What will I study?
Using the college's engineering workshops, you will learn to use
mechanical and electrical equipment and plan and make a product.
You will also study functional skills in English and maths.

Working Safely and Effectively in Engineering
Optional subjects
•Making engineering components using hand tools
•Using a bench/pedestal drilling machine
•Planning and making a machined product
•Assembling mechanical components
•Joining materials using welding
•Electronic assembly
•Electrical circuits and engineering marking out.
What can I do next?
If you successfully complete all the modules you can go on to
the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Manufacturing.
This can lead to employment in Engineering
What are the entry requirements?
You will be invited to attend an interview at the College and to
complete an assessment test.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most
circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to
find this out when you apply.
