What will I study?

This course involves attending College for one day per week. It consists of studying for a number of elements including: an NVQ Level 2, Level 2 Diploma (combination of practical and theoretical work) Number and Communications Level 1, Health and Safety and Employer Rights and Responsibilities. On successful completion an Apprenticeship Certificate will be awarded which is a nationally recognised qualification accepted by the construction industry.

What can I do next?

This can lead to supervisory jobs or higher qualifications within the industry and is also an excellent route to self-employment.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need a Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship Certificate. You will also need to take an assessment test, attend a college interview and be employed as a painter and decorator and have completed NVQ level 2.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
