This course suits those considering entering the building industry and who would like to learn painting and decorating.

What will I study?

This course consists of practical tasks with theoretical study. Students learn the underpinning knowledge to achieve the Painting and Decorating Level 1 Diploma. The Diplomas can be upgraded to an NVQ as and when employment is gained.

This can lead to Painting and Decorating Level 2 Diploma and/or NVQ qualifications after employment.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to attend a short interview and initial assessment.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by an externally set theoretical knowledge test, taken at the College and retaken if necessary. Students also meet regularly with tutors to help plan studies and to discuss progress.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
