Is this course for me?

This course involves attending College for one day per week. You will study for a number of qualifications including an NVQ Level 2, Level 1 and 2 Diplomas in Carpentry and Joinery (combination of practical and theory work), Functional Skills, health and safety and employer rights and responsibilities. On successful completion you will be awarded an Apprenticeship Certificate which is a nationally recognised qualification accepted by the construction industry.

What can I do next?

This can lead to progression on to an Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to take an assessment test, attend an interview and be employed as a Carpenter.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
