Is this course for me?
The course suits those who want to gain a nationally recognised
vocational qualification to enter employment in the area of
supervisory management. It is also suitable for those already in a
supervisory management position and who want to advance their
skills.
What will I study?
This course helps develop the knowledge and skills needed to
perform in supervisory and leadership roles.

What can I do next?
This can lead to further education at Lewisham College studying
the Level 5 Diploma in Management Studies. Lewisham College has an
excellent reputation in courses at this level and our students have
progressed to higher education, HNC/HND or a Degree, or employment
in supervisory positions.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to attend an interview which will look at
experience and qualifications and also complete an aptitude test.
Those in employment should bring their job description to the
interview. Depending on experience, there is some flexibility over
entry requirements.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by assignments such as reports and plans,
individual and group work in class, oral presentations and
projects. BTEC set an external assignment for the Supervising
Operations unit. Students also have regular meetings with a
personal tutor to discuss progress and to help plan studies.

What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
