An apprenticeship will enable you to gain and develop a range of skills in your chosen area. You can choose from a wide range of different apprenticeships. They enable you to achieve nationally recognised qualifications which are recognised by employers. They provide a solid foundation for career progression and the achievement of higher level qualifications. There are two levels; an Apprenticeship which is equivalent to five GCSEs grade A-C and an Advanced Apprenticeship which is equivalent to two A Levels.

Benefits to Employers

By offering Apprenticeships you'll find it easier to recruit and retain the right people for your organisation. You'll avoid skills shortages because Apprenticeships equip people with the skills, knowledge and motivation to support your business needs. Apprentices are an investment in your business future. You can sign up existing members of staff on to the scheme which provides an excellent way of developing and motivating your staff.

"Success is all about finding people who will help make any business grow, especially in times like these. It's important that employers take Apprenticeships seriously - apprentices make things happen and can help a business to grow and thrive" Sir Alan Sugar.

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for 19 to 24 year olds is part funded, with employers expected to make a contribution. Funding for apprentices aged 25 is very limited and employers are expected to make a part or full contribution.
